I attended the University of Michigan for both my Bachelor and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. I graduated dental school in 2006 and started practicing as an associate with a southeast Michigan dental group. I began private practice shortly after in 2008, when I started Great Lakes Dentistry. I continued the practices originally founded by Drs. Brown, Lang, and Strugala.

My practice philosophy is to provide all our patients’ dental treatment under one roof using the most advanced technologies available. I need to stay up to date with the most recent advancements in treatment modalities, so I commit several days to continuing education every year. I’ve taken advanced education courses in the areas of intravenous (IV) sedation, sleep dentistry, dental implant placement, surgical bone grafting, traditional orthodontics, Six Month Smiles® cosmetic braces, and laser dentistry.

Our young family has grown significantly over the past couple years. My wife, Sharla, and I were married in 2011, and we welcomed our first son, Max, in 2012. Exactly one year later, on the same day, our second son, Xavier, was born. Most recently, our first daughter, Elizabeth, was born in June 2014.

Sarah, as our office manager, is responsible for all of the front office duties, coordinating all of our patients’ insurance programs, paperwork, and arranging flexible financing. She is also the person our patients talk with whenever they call. Sarah especially enjoys working face-to-face with our patient family and helping them with whatever they need.

I’ve always felt comfortable and welcomed at the office. Everything about being an employee at Great Lakes Dentistry is pleasant.

Sarah has six siblings who are her best friends. She also has three nephews and one dog, Simba. When not at our office, she enjoys running, drawing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Marie has seven children, four grandchildren and a loving husband that she enjoys spending time with (not to mention her three dogs!). Her interests include cooking, gardening and renovating her home.

Samantha enjoys making patients feel at home while they are in the office. In her free time she likes traveling to new places and spending time with her close friends, family and her newest addition as of the end of January, her nephew Joey. Dawn comes from a family of six, including her husband Thom and son William and daughter Heather. She also has a 3 year old grandson, Shane. Dawn enjoys relaxing in the morning and drinking coffee by her pool with her 7 year old snoodle, Casey. She also likes to bowl, read, swim and exercise daily.

The best part about our practice is really our patients. They have become part of our dental family.
